A Xmas picture today. GIMP processed. Duplicate the picture as a new layer. Desaturate the new layer. With the "rubber" tool make the suite of the Santa Claus transparent in the desaturated layer, so that the original color of the underlying layer will pass through the B/W layer.

A picture of Chicago by night. I'm using GIMP to recover some almost good shots. This one had some disturbing reflections (due to the inner light reflecting on the glass of the window). Those were eliminated and the result is pretty good in my opinion.

I'll try to get out of the fog that is preventing me to put picture in the blog in the past days (too many of them). Unfortunately from my last travel in Athens I could not take a single picture (too many things to do, too little time).

"Sarcazzi" is a quite invented word, I'm not sure what exactely it means but we often use it to indicate "stuff". I don't think you'll find its definition in any Italian dictionary :-) I use this blog to post some of my photos, just as an experiment. I hope also other friend of mine will populate this blog.
